Dreher is a curiosity to some Dallas Morning News readers

Because of that, DMN assistant editorial page editor Mike Hashimoto asked columnist Rod Dreher to explain himself. What he says:
* "I like to try to say things nobody else is saying and to explore areas that are insufficiently commented on in the media."
* "I am a philosophical and political conservative, a Christian and a family man. My conservatism is traditionalist, not libertarian, and therefore idiosyncratic."
* "I do think that I come across too often as more ponderous than I am in real life."
